As a very young elf he was found on the Sword Coast by some fishermen
after a violent storm. Having few memories of his family, or his people,
he began to study and to train in Waterdeep's Temple of Oghma. It was
there that the mysteries of his past began to be revealed to him, and he
followed in the tradition of his forefathers by studying the ways of magic.
Years later he began to serve the Binder in earnest as a teacher and guide
to many of the young wizards of Faerun. For a time, he frequently offered
his services to the paladins of Tyr, and the Waterdeep Watch, although he
has since lost much faith in human rule of law. He met a druidess by the
name of Loren Wildsoul, who he fell in love with and later married. They
have since found a home in the Unicorn Run, far from the madness and
politics of the city. There they await the birth of their first child.
