Craft Process

Rather than having you sit idle as your PC undertakes a time-consuming trade
project, the new craft system allows your PC to work on such projects behind
the scenes. Craft projects proceed based on the passage of game time, but do
so only when you are logged out in the location of your project.

When you initiate a project with the 'construct' command, you will provide
the raw materials - some as actual objects, some in the form of the coin you
will use to purchase the necessary supplies.

The project will then proceed on its own, whenever you have
'quit' in the
same location where you initiated the project. You will be appraised of your
progress each time you log in, or you can check on it at any time with the
'craft' command.

In some cases, your efforts will go awry and you will need to purchase
additional materials and supplies in order to rectify the situation. This
can be done with the
'craft continue' command. Progress on your project will
halt until you successfully employ this command.

* Smithing projects require a sufficient supply of ingots of the desired
metal, all of the same quality. The quality of an ingot hinges upon the
grade of the ore it is smelted from and the skill of the PC doing the
smelting. In some cases a supply of wood is also required.

* The quality of the finished item depends on the quality of the metal used,
the skill of the smith, and a bit of luck.
