Located on the High Road halfway between Waterdeep and Baldur's Gate,
the town of Daggerford is rumored to have been founded after a young
boy searching for a safe crossing for a merchant caravan killed half
a dozen lizardmen with an old dagger before help from the wagons he
was guiding could arrive. The ruling family of Daggerford traces their
ancentry back to this brave youth. The town itself is full of a mix of
races and businesses. For those who are shy of cities, and need a small
dose of civilization and humble village life, Daggerford can provide
for the needs, while also providing more civilization than the many
hamlets which dot the countryside.
