There are many more deities in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting than
there are coded into Forgotten Kingdoms. There are more than 30 deities coded
(see List of Deities), but it is still possible to follow uncoded deities
with an approved application.
In order to apply for membership in an uncoded faith a PC is required to be
at least level 10. Generally, we prefer that the PC have at least 100 hours
played. An application should demonstrate some player knowledge of the deity
and it should describe how the PC is suitable for that faith.
A priest approved for membership in an uncoded faith is inducted to a coded
faith with similar domains (e.g. a PC joined into the Red Knight's faith
might be inducted into Helm's church) and given a renamed holy symbol. There
are rules about this membership:
* A PC may use supplicate recall and resurrection.
* A PC may not use supplicate object.
* A PC may be blessed or damned, but cannot be promoted.
* A PC may learn domain spells if they are a priest.
* Non-priest PCs will not be inducted into a coded faith.
* A PC should apply good judgment with respect to privileges afforded members
of their parent faith. e.g. do not enter an exclusive part of that faith's
temple if it is inappropriate to do so.
