Forgotten Kingdoms is based on the Forgotten Realms world owned by Wizards of
the Coast. It was created by Ed Greenwood, and originally published by TSR
which has since been bought out by Wizards of the Coast. Much has been
published about the Forgotten Realms world, from campaign material to novels.
We heartily recommend that players become familiar if they are not already
with the Forgotten Realms world. It will help you to better understand the
Forgotten Kingdoms world and enhance your roleplaying experience. The best
things to read are the Forgotten Realms novels. These can be purchased at
local bookstores, or on line at such online stores as the Wizards of the
Coast store, Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble on line. To find those novels
that are out of print eBay is an excellent source.
