Syntax: Automatic
Prerequisites: membership in warrior class, a cleric guild (i.e. faith) or bard guild
This skill reflects your ability to get the most out of a shield. A PC can
use and gain benefit from a shield without the shieldwork skill; however,
those with the skill will roll against that expertise when their head or body
locations are attacked. If they succeed, they will receive an additional
bonus to their AC against that attack. This will not be reflected in your
defense score, but if it makes a critical difference, causing your
opponent to catch your shield rather than your flesh, the game will indicate
that to you.
* The shieldwork skill will only operate on one attack per round.
