Special Characters and Special Roleplay

If you wish for your character to have something that is not the norm then
you must apply for it. You should detail your characters information to the
applications committee.

Your application is put before the deities for a vote. The more information
that you give the better. Try and be consise with a summary of what you want
as sometimes what is really wanted can be lost in rambling.

Please submit applications to the applications forum; see applications for
more information.

The deities will sometimes develop and implement special roleplays (such as
the return of Waukeen to the Realms) or run smaller special roleplay events,
called tiny plots (TP's). Racial feasts, religious events and ceremonies,
and other happenings are also common. In some cases these will simply draw in
those ICly-appropraite PCs who happen to be about at the time; in other cases
applications to take part (as with the Lawmaker RP) will be solicited.
Players should not attempt to "barge" or otherwise force their way into such
events; the best way to show interest in taking part is to talk about related
events, hints that something is afoot, and rumours overheard, in character,
with others. Sharing such news with others and seeming interested will
attract the attention of the deity who has worked hard to set up the special
RP.

Under no circumstances should an ICly inappropriate character attempt (or
expect) to take part in a special RP. For example, a drow elf should not
expect to go along on an elven rescue mission, even if it sounds really
really neat.

Characters sometimes organize their own events or even run their own tiny
plots. We are happy for this to happen. However, we would like ALL
significant TP's to be approved by the immortals first. In order to help a TP
to run smoothly often it will need divine intervention, whether it be a
special object, or special echoes, or a special mob to interact with the
PC's. In general we will only approve those roleplays that involve many
characters, not those that are specifically thought up to benefit only one
character, or a very small select group of characters.

Please note that players with strikes on any of their characters are not
eligible to apply for special roleplay applications.

Most special roleplay applications will incur a kismet cost. We will likely
not approve any applications that focus only one one character that require a
lot of work on the part of the immmortals to implement.

You may not play or apply to play characters from written or screen works that
belong to or do not belong to the Forgotten Realms franchise. Characters within
that are famous exist as PC's to be used during special roleply. You MAY apply
to borrow a famous PC for an organized roleplay for a day, or scheduled events.
