Summer Silversong, Mage of Tymora
From the tome Wizards of the Dalelands by Lhaeo of Shadowdale.
Summer Silversong, Gold Elf Mage, the Flamemage
Spring is like a young man who does not know his mind. Summer is a tyrant, the most ungracrious kind. The Fall is like an old friend who help's where ever she can...
A gold elf mage born and raised in Shadowdale, Summer is as much a figure of rumour and history as she is a real person and is often heard to comment that she is starting to believe her own legend. She is a passionate woman, quick to both anger and love, and is feared at times for her penchant for setting things or people on fire when she is angry.
She is a woman of contridictions, contridictions that are at times explained by her devotion to Lady Luck and at others are explainable by nothing more than her chaotic and multi-facted personality. Once Elminster said of her, "As wild and untamed as the sea, ever changing, yet remaining unchanged. Where the water is the stillest, it is the deepest and most treacherous. Yet where the waves dance and play, often the she is the most kind and welcoming."
Yet the legends remain, the tales of her crossing wits with Manshoon and walking away, only to be taken from the Kingdoms when the damage done to her spirit proved to be too great to bear. Her return from Tymora's realm and her eventual tragic death at the hands of a follower of Beshaba. Then the discovery of her wandering restless spirit and the tales of her time spent trapped in the Nine Hells, and finally, her return to the lands of the living by the hands of the Silverstar Luna and the grace of Selune.
