Domination Spells
There are three distinct domination spells, with some common rules and guidelines:
* This spell will ALWAYS fail if cast on another PC; its use in this manner can only be roleplayed by mutual consent, without code support.
* DO NOT CAST THIS SPELL ON THE MOUNT OR PET OF ANOTHER PC! (Doing so will cause the owner to permanently lose ownership of the pet. Such attempts SHOULD always fail, but please don't tempt fate.)
* This spell/skill is logged because it is subject to abuse. If you are using the skill/spell to gain too many items you will lose the skill. Please show some responsbility when using this skill/spell. It is also expected that you roleplay its usage. Using it over and over and over again is considered to be extremely poor roleplay. Use of the spell to abuse areas or bypass restrictions on areas such as guilds, temples etc. can be subject to both IC and OOC punishments.
A dominate spell, if successful, will place the victim (it only works on mobs) under your total control for an extended duration. While under your control the creature is your servant, and may assist you in combat and other more minor duties. Use the 'order' command to give them orders.
*In order to command a dominated creature, you must speak in a language they understand.
*Each domination spell only affects creatures of a given type. Attempting to cast such a spell on the wrong type of creature will always fail, returning the echo "So-n-so seems to shake off the affects of your spell."
* Some mobs are completely immune to domination (mostly important guards, shopkeepers, and trainers)
* Aggressive mobs will lose their aggressiveness while dominated, but will immediately return to their violent ways when the spell wears off.
* Dominated victims will retain their memories of what happened when they were charmed: if you influence them to an illegal activity, an otherwise law-abiding citizen will report it to the authorities once the spell wears off.
* This family of spells cannot be cast by an invoker
