Sneak Attacks
If a rogue manages to catch an opponent off guard, their target will be less able to defend themselves. This makes the target more readily hit, and allows the rogue to inflict additional damage.
When a rogue makes a sneak attack, the target's dexterity bonus to AC is not taken into account, and an additional amount of damage is inflicted on the target.
"Sneak attack" is not a skill in and of itself, but rather a term used to cover two specific thief skills: backstab, used when initiating combat, and circle stab, used in the heat of battle.
* These two skills must be trained independently. Expertise in one does not imply even familiarity with the other.
* These skills are affected by the type of armour you wear. Heavier armour will increase the chance of failure in these skills.
* Some creatures (specifically undead, and those lacking any "weak points" in their anatomy, such as slimes, oozes, and plants) are not susceptible
