I've read a couple people say we can connect and start a new account, but each time I try to connect it fails. Is there a new address? Thanks to the staff for your hard work in this.
I was there for some of the Skelleng content (on an alt), and yes, it was very fun! I particularly liked the chance of absorbing spells when cast for the reason that it added a little spice when fighting the beast. As a player who will attempt to heal around 70% health, there was a bit of a "oh...
Welcome to FK! This place is awesome. I don't think you'll find a MUD out there that allows you to immerse with your character, and environment, quite like this one. Never be afraid to ask questions, as this game has a lot to learn about!
This is a fun question. I remember starting out, playing 2nd edition with some friends. I played a halfling rogue, not really knowing much about them! That was a good time...I remember trying to impress someone by backflipping off my wardog, only to fall flat to my face. The next time we played, I w...
I personally don't put much thought into it if I see someone who's evil walk into my room. Alignment is just one of those things that can be differ by opinion, especially when you drill down past good/evil/neutral, and get into lawful/chaotic. I am one of those folks that always has detect evil/good...
I am very much on the side of what Mask said in regards to all things in FK, where basically, if you don't want it to happen, make it impossible to do so. I agree that PVP just doesn't work well in this game, and while I personally enjoy an open-free pvp environment, I also know that most people her...
I'm going to be very biased here, but here's my take on PvP. I have been in 3 RP sessions that turned PVP, where groups were involved. Do you know what happened? Someone OOC'd that PVP was possible, and so the forces of light and dark then spend the next 10 minutes buffing eachother and RPing how th...
What the guy above me said. You give up all 5 attacks (up to) so that you can make a single attack on all foes. Makes perfect sense to me from a balance standpoint as well. EDIT: heck, if you really wanted to get crazy, make it so for each opponent in the room, you have a -5 chance to hit as it goes...
Another update: True sight does indeed grant darkvision at 30ft. It also allows ASCII coloring for some reason, so it may be a mix of darkvision and light without the light. It's up to the staff on how they would like this spell changed, if at all, as it appears to be coded from 2nd edition, but nam...
Some good points have been brought up on this thread, for instance, I didn't think about the fact that everyone can buy the same cart, so having identical keys (while minimizing potential thefts) would still almost defeat the purpose. It's probably more work than it's worth, but I think the only way...
So I was fiddling with the idea of making a travelling merchant, with the roleplay of always having my wagon or cart traveling next to me and thought it would be cool to be able to purchase a lockable cart, not to say people would steal, but if i'm fighting things and leave my cart outside the scary...
Just as a follow-up to this, the reason you cannot see into other rooms is because true sight may only offer 30ft of darkvision, and not 60. Otherwise, true sight works fine in the room you're currently in.
For the record: I too would love to see something like this implemented. I have had three instances that have occurred like this, 1 was fixed by an online IMM, the other two were applied to have fixed, and were both denied, one of which left me with an unfinished quest.
Ah...so there is. Thankfully someone helped me find the way in this regard. Thank you for responding. Trying to track people down is hard when your amulet of communication is taken from you too. Wait in the Market Square until someone wanders in heh.
<Redacted for sensitive information.> So. That being said, I grabbed the rest of my stuff that dropped, put it on, and left the <redacted> with a sour taste in my mouth. The change I would like to request is that there be a way to reclaim your belongings. Perhaps a clue that "something" in...
To whom it may concern, A while back, I completed the "glowing token" quest as part of one of Mystra's favoured items. And before I say anything, I just have to say that the quest was AMAZING! Seriously entertaining and perfectly difficult the entire time. Anyways, there were no bugs with ...
When locating objects, some of the first things that seem to populate are items from store rooms or inaccessible rooms. This would probably take a lot of code, or no-locate flags on rooms, but is it possible to have these somehow removed from the 50 items list you get from locating? Some of the more...
<A piece of parchment is posted here, inscribed with a circle of seven blue-white stars with red mist flowing from the center> To practitioners of the brewing Arts, As of late, I have found myself venturing into the darker places of the realm, such as the infamous Undermountain. It is important that...
