I got very lucky by getting through a duergar mob on my way to Mithral Hall. Despite having 'wimpy 50' set, my dwarf would still attempt to fight even below 50 ('No way! I am still fighting! echo). Wimpy should work always, not only the moment health drops below 50, but also when it's, say 30.
On that note, why does specifying a direction still fail? I'd hoped this behavior was changed with the combat overhaul... Specifying a direction should result in you FLEEING in the direction specified.
Wimpy and combat
Re: Wimpy and combat
I would also like to see wimpy spam-flee on every strike recieved below the alloted hp amount. As well, I'd love to see us be able to flee in a desired direction, however arguments could be made for both sides of that.

Re: Wimpy and combat
Well, I could see fleeing fail for a character with a very low int or wis. But not always.
As for wimpy - that's exactly what I mean in above post.

Re: Wimpy and combat
I've thought for a while that the 'mobility' feat would be neat, and could potentially allow for one to flee in a chosen direction. However, with wimpy, it would stand to reason that you're in a state of panic, and just trying to get away from the person pounding you, and thus fleeing whichever way you can.
