I spent last two weeks playing on a 15" comp which was not mine, where the font was nice and bold. On my 13" notebook, the font is thin. It's not a question of screen resolution, it looks like a different font was used on each comp.
Therefore, I would like to request a way to choose a font the FANG client uses. An option to choose the size and to bold it would be nice too.
A way to choose the font used by FANG
Re: A way to choose the font used by FANG
I agree, this would be nice to have. However. I'm not a java/web start coder, but from my quick scan, it looks like the only way to do this in a web start applet, without font() permissions, would be to compile a selection of fonts with the app, which would greatly increase the size of the download. Am I correct in thinking it's currently set to use the system default? I couldn't download the source code to see, as the link seems to be broken. My knowledge on this may be outdated or incorrect though, as I said I don't use that language. If it's the system default, it can be changed on linux, and presumably on windows. But the process is a little technical.

I can't say for sure, but as far as I know FANG is just meant to be a simple java client option. If he can/has time/is willing to add more features to it more power to Marty, but it's existence stand alone is a great gift to all of us.
There are other downloadable clients which let you customize your settings, like Zmud, in the case that changes will/can not be made.

There is also the Facebook client that is really handy in this type of situation. All it needs to java runtime installed on the machine and there is nothing to download. It all runs through facebook.
