Domain Prayers and Rank
Domain prayers to me have always by and large seemed creatures of flavour more than function. They give the feel of the deity and their power, but with some exceptions I wonder if they might do more. That is to say, depending on the spell, the level of practice your deity lets you use them at do not always hold up late game. Thus thinking in terms of a longer set-up, perhaps your relative faith level affects at what level of practice you cast your spells at. For many of the domain spells, you may only have a single one of them, and maybe could pack more punch comparatively. It's just a thought, but perhaps the more activity and time you put into a faith, and thus the more dedicated you are to a god, the more it is reflected in both rank and domain.

Re: Domain Prayers and Rank
I thought this was already implemented? Or do you mean being able to cast above grandmaster level?

No, an initiate would just cast at a lower level of practice in comparison to a prelate, and so forth. Casting domains at various ranks appears about the same as far as what I've seen. Do we have a source that indicates it changes?

Forgive my squirrely ignorance as this is not something I'm deeply familiar with, but I've been told in the past that your domain spells have a skill level that directly correlates with your favour level. Personally I prefer that it might go by favour rather than rank as that would make the playing field remain somewhat level. Does anybody know for sure how it works?Casamir wrote:No, an initiate would just cast at a lower level of practice in comparison to a prelate, and so forth. Not sure how it works myself, but I'd vote favor over rank as well. I don't feel that rank is as well-tended as it was in the past, or transparent in the requirements for achieving; this makes it an ill-suited tool to adjust peoples' power and lends itself to all sorts of abuse, cronyism, etc.
