Drow and Faith Questions

Post by teepo » Fri Nov 29, 2013 11:20 pm

Just a quick question on Drow and Faith based questions.

Are Drow still limited to Lloth only or are there more open ideas? Should this be taken care of through application?

Also I've noticed the Drow areas are slightly different from before, are there some changes that can be discussed here? Like are they able to make it to the surface through a lot of HARD work? Or is this something I should find out In Character?

Thanks for checking!

Drow can follow any deity that would reasonably accept a Drow. Drow can also reach the surface. Both of these options can spell out death for you though. :P

I understand the consequences of both, clearly there isn't much Drow RP going on probably because of the difficulty of being a "worldly" Drow. I have high respect that a Drow making it to the surface is a difficult life since they aren't that well liked even in today's newer editions of D&D, that's sorta why I'm making the choice of the Drow. As far as the faith goes, other than raiding, a follower of Lloth wouldn't have much need to make it to the surface. If I make it high enough level I want to have decent RP reasons to be on the surface if it's a possibility, following a different faith would help with that I think. There's one deity in particular I would probably choose for that but we'll see if it comes to that. :)

It's still VERY early for me to make these decisions however, Drow level slow due to the ECL, so I have plenty of time to make these choices and who knows RP could make the character go in different and more exciting directions!

Depends on the faith and where they surface though ;-)
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Spelling is not necessarily correct :)

I hear they are very welcoming to drow in Mithril Hall

I have also heard that Corellon has a special place in his heart for Drow. :]
