Dire Wolves

From what I've seen on http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/direWolf.htm Dire wolves are large enough to be mountable. Yet the one I bought is not. IS there any reason why they should not be mountable? Also is there any armour in game for Dire Wolves?

The extent to which one could domesticate a dire wolf is the main issue in my mind. They might be willing to hunt with you, but let you ride on their back? That's more of a stretch. Similarly, they may not be quite as willing to wear something as is a poodle.

To be clear, there should be some dire animals which are mountable; some are sold as pets. Those appear to still be working correctly.

I just want to make sure that we are talking about mounting dire wolves out in the environment as opposed to some sold by a pet shop.

It's m22519 (race wolf) which lacks the mountable flag. m23007 is a wolf with the flag, however, so I need to test this to discover if it's leavings from the recent mount overhaul or what. More to follow.
