Has anyone ever pulled of these commands? Looking at the Request help file it says: "This is an excellent way
for a good character to gain equipment." I beg to differ. I have never gotten anything from request, not even my own pack that I accidentally gave to an NPC.
Demand always seems to trigger the same response. "I'm not afraid of you!" Do these commands really do anything?

I've found success on my good character with REQUEST on some things. It's surprised me the twice it's happened in the time I've been playing. I haven't tried demand.

I've also gotten request to work... Once... On a level fifty LG char (though unsure whether level or alignment really has anything to do with it).
Likely best that it work too infrequently rather than too often, though.

It will only work for good aligned characters with high charisma depending on the NPC. Just remember that items acquired from request shouldn't be sold. I have taken advantage of request before and it has always worked frequently for me.
