Making a spell/item affect everyone in the room

I was interested in a program that would take a spell that is not an area affect spell (for eg. Cure light wounds) and apply that spell to everyone in the room.

For eg. A ring of mass cure that when activated casts cure light wounds on everyone in the room (not just in groups either - everyone)

Is this possible?
