Applications for bards

Asking after some people raised the matter on ask.

How do applications for bards work right now?

Is it fine to guild at Strawberry Song without app? Can one guild there and submit the app later?

Are apps required only for the performance tokens or should they be submitted regardless?

And also: is 15 charisma still strictly required? Because I heard of people who guilded with about 14 cha but more importantly one of my rogues had the quest trigger for Strawberry Song when they had yet to train cha up to 15.

The policy for bards is described in the relevant HowTo.

I am going to follow up with all the guilds to ensure that they adhere.

Edit: Strawberry Song did not enforce the CHA requirement, but it does now.

So basically Strawberry Song can be joined without token, but one should submit the application with the performance regardless, right?

And preferably before joining?

Tokes are now required everywhere, and the same performance token is standard.

The current bard process is outlined in the HowTo linked above.

The help file now jibes with the guilds in the game exactly.

What else needs fixing for bardic schools? Where are out of date tokens at play still?

There were some issues with Ebon Thorn, which I submitted a while ago, although perhaps not in the proper board, since there was also a small proposal. Namely some typos, outdated information and a mob which required publication tokens, which are not in use anymore. The proposal was about removing the intercept program from a shopkeeper. I can send you it via pm if you want.

I think also that Ebon Thorn currently accepts only evil bards, so that should be added in the bard schools helpfile.

Another thing that may help, is also perhaps specifying whether Spider Books is just for drow, or also opened to some other races. It was unclear, for example, whether a halfdrow bard could join there.
