No ring appears to be forthcoming. Submitting more nuggets restarts the counter from 1. Where's my precious, Sugrin?

Unsure if it's significant that the last nugget was small instead of tiny?

When nothing happened, I tried leaving and re-entering the room to see if that would proc anything. If there was a delay on the program, maybe it just happened to coincide with that movement?

No, the problem was in the way the two progs counted the QBITs. It adds up to 10, but if one submits tiny nuggets it is looking for a value of 10 and if one submits a small nugget it is looking for any value greater than 10. You submitted exactly 10 when you submitted a small nugget (7 tiny ones plus one small one) and so it didn't know what to do with that.

I've fixed it pending an update on the game port. You should be able to give him another nugget and move on after that update.
