'Spring Forwards' Auction

Good news, everybody! To celebrate the season and the abundance of adventurers gallivanting about we're holding another auction of grandiose goods and stellar services! It's time to scour your carts for sellables and gird your wallets for the coming storm of commerce.

This'll pretty much go the same as the other auctions we've had in the past; you're welcome to sell goods or services, though the buyer assumes all responsibility for ensuring that the offered services are carried out. These can include magical items, mundane items, commissions for paintings or weapons, catering services, or even something as abstract as securing a contract to perform a dance for a gathering.

Starting this very moment and until midnight EST on the 30th of April Renea will be open to receiving various items either in person or via the magical post to be auctioned off. You can feel free to give a minimum starting bid for your items, and if you're so inclined you're welcome to submit multiple items into a single lot to be auctioned off together. All submissions will be anonymous with the obvious exception of services, which can't be anonymous.

I'll be putting up a list of the items being auctioned on the first of May, both on the forums and on the news board in game, though only the board in game will show the colours of the items for sale and only the forum will show the current highest bid. The bidding period will end on May 31st at midnight EST, and if you've won and/or sold anything you'll be receiving an invoice through the mail on the following day.

You can bid by sending a letter to Renea through the post, or if you prefer by handing a letter to her in person. All bids must be written down, but it isn't necessary to mail them. Be sure to include your name, the lot numbers of the items you're bidding on, and how much you're bidding. All bid will be made in platinum and the list of bids will be updated at midnight EST each day. For the last six hours of the auction (May 31st, 6PM EST -
midnight) I'll be updating as soon as each new bid is made.

As is usual for these types of auctions a 10% fee will be levied by the followers of Waukeen for their services. For example, if an item has a winning bid of 80 platinum then 72 will go to the seller and 8 will go to the followers of Waukeen.

For the very last hour of the auction, we'll be going live! Renea will be standing in the ballroom of the temple of Sune, where the mercantile battle of coin will find its conclusion! During that time you'll be able to make bids without a slip, just by shouting them at Renea- You can continue to send bids in via the mail, but there are no guarantees as to how quickly they'll be read into the official record. For absolute certainty you should either attend yourself or send a proxy to bid on your behalf.
