Sea and Surf Diving Tournament

Hear ye, hear ye, devoted followers of the Queen of the Depths, Umberlee and other Realms Peoples.

Oceana Undertow, Flood Tide of The Wavemother, brings you glad tidings of an opportunity to honor the Stormgoddess of the Seas. A grand tournament of underwater combat and diving skill shall be one month hence, near Her Queenspires south of Waterdeep. Champions from across the realms shall gather to prove their mettle in Umberlee's most cherished domain.

The tournament shall features tests of martial prowess, as combatants wield whatever weapons they think that can swing in the water, though we suggest spears and nets in vicious battle, as well as trials of deep diving skill and endurance. Only the most gifted shall emerge victorious!

Prizes of gold and enchanted items shall be awadred to the Champions, but the greatest prized of all shall be winning the favor of Umberlee, who may or may not be watching from Her Throne, keen as a sharks tooth to see you bleed!

All those faithful to the Dark Goddess of The Depths are summoned, as are any who wish to participate. Come, fight, dive, come and sacrifice in the name of Umberlee! The festivities shall begin at the setting of the sun, one month hence. Glory and Doom await!

It'll cost 20 plat to enter the tournament, and 5 platinum to watch it, the sum of which will be used as a prize pool, along with a magic item.

OOC: All are welcome to join this even, just be aware that is an Umberlite event, you may get made fun of more than others if your Chaunean or Lathanderians show up. You may also get a modicum of respect and a potential arch-nemesis flag on you if you show up on them and do well. :0

Thanks to everyone that came and participated, in both the combat and dive competition. As well as in the back and forth rp that happend in the down time. Was really, really great to see so many people, old and new. We had a couple of hiccups but played them off wonderfully icly which was also awesome. If I could reward everyone I would! Hopefully see you all against next time, so we can get those of you that wanted to compete to compete!
