First and foremost: I do not in any way mean this to be insulting to the IMMs. I know you're always being plagued by players (like me).
I was recently giving my opinion in the debate on teleporting and I read Elenthis' post, which read:
"FK is IMO the best mud out there. Maybe we should take some time to think about non-static improvements rather than code-changes for a while. New areas, more RP's maybe some world-changing events?"
He's so right. We want to *change* the game so much, that we forget to *play* the game!
IMMs have great power! I would like to see our IMMs have the opportunities to do what they really want to do: make new items, create deity interaction, create deity-focused rps, create world-altering (or at least Waterdeep-altering) rps, jump into random soldiers that are being harassed and stand up for the little mobs, have a random goblin in Howling Peak plead for its life, and so on.
I started this thread so we could suggest ways of freeing IMMs from being dominated by code-abuse, problem fixing, and twinks. I think it's time that we (the players) start rallying around our IMMs and help them do what they want to do in the first place.
Suggestions? Comments? Questions? Queries? Concerns? Good, good, good.

I believe the answer is in the question.Theillik wrote:I started this thread so we could suggest ways of freeing IMMs from being dominated by code-abuse, problem fixing, and twinks. And if my first answer was not clear enough, ...
If you find a spot in an area that is "just too good to be normal", where you can range-kill mobs with no danger because of a missing connection, or where you get especially good loot, way better than in other areas, or where you can level up quickly with next to no danger ... report it instead of just boasting about having found such a good place to your friends on AIM.
If you find a spell that is "just too good to be normal", that is way better than any other spell or that makes you way more powerful than other classes (think twinned, empowered, maximized, heightened, flame arrows and the related twinks), ... report it and make sure that it's the way it is supposed to be instead of just using it and boasting about being able to fight off dragons all by yourself.
If you find an easy-to-reach trainer that is "just too good to be normal", who can pump you up to adept, expert or more without requiring a quest or without being restricted to a specific guild/faith/organization, ... report it instead of using it, especially if it wouldn't even be IC for your character to train from them.
In other words, don't see it as a game of players vs (imms + coders + builders) where it's oh-so-cool to find loopholes/bugs that can be abused, but as a collaborative game.

builders@forgottenkingdoms.com is a good place to send "reports" about problems with areas or trainers
