LEAD or ESCORT command?

Post by Raona » Thu Jun 22, 2006 11:38 am

This is more of a command suggestion that a feat suggestion (I think anyone should be able to do this), but perhaps a LEAD or ESCORT command could be added, to allow one to lead others (in your group?) to follow you for one move, even if they are not following you?

This would work a lot like DRAG, except that it would work with the standing.

Examples of utility: Horses that seem to forget they are to follow you (which seems to be happening more often of late, unless it is just my stubborn mare getting old)
Group members on a horse, which you then lead
Link-dead players in a bad spot?

The echo could be $N1 leads $N2 in from the north.

...and shopkeeper PCs that are named the same, and standing in one spot, so you can only buy from one of them...

If you use 'buy/list/value/repair x.shopkeepername items' where x is a number

then it should work fine, like for examine or any command with an object

maybe I am remembering it wrongly, or maybe it was fixed since I last tried it out(more than half a year ago), but it doesn't or at least didn't work that way. It does work if shopkeepers have different names, but not if they have the same name.
