I might have mentionned that from the start, but the statues and the text are supposed to have been written by people living in Faerun, so avoid using facts that are not well-known in the description or the text. And also try to present facts as "common beliefs".

E.g. instead of "Waukeen loves to disguise herself as a pirate and run in circles with only an eye patch on her face, while screaming Yaarh! Yaarh!", it's better to use something like "Waukeen is said to love to disguise herself as a pirate and run in circles with only an eye patch on her face, while screaming Yaarh! Yaarh!"

Is the one writing about the god a follower of the god?

I could see a quite different description of Lloth from her followers and from non followers

Can the statue have a small setting included with it?

i.e. Sune lounging upon a loveseat. Malar stalking upon a branch, etc?

Also, should we use color codes from the game?
