Mending

I have learned the trade of mending recently, and I'm able to perform this trade.

However, it doesn't show up in my list when I type 'trades'. Is this normal?

Mending items is a sub-function of the parent trade. For example, if you learn the trade 'armour smithing' you will be able to repair items of armour, given suitable materials and conditions. Mending is not, in and of itself, a separate trade.
