Wizard Level 1 spells
Wizard Level 1 spells
Are wizard level 1 spells unaffected by their choice of school? Because it seems that a specialist wizard gets class from his opposing schools for level 1 spells.

Yes. All wizards can learn all level 1 spells.
Clerics start as unfaithed. What spells do they get to learn? All the spells that are common to all clerics (including druids, since druids are just clerics on FK). That was the optimal solution so that they could still learn as much as possible without learning spells that they would not be able to cast anymore once faithed.
If the same solution had been applied to wizards, i.e., if beginning, unguilded wizards had been given only the spells that they would later be able to cast for sure, ... they would get no spells at all, since each spell belongs to a school that is an opposing school for at least one guild.
So... all wizards get all level 1 spells.
