As you may or may not recall from this thread, the discussion of broadening the Newbie Council was at hand.
Currently, the Player council would like to begin accepting applications for Newbie Council Lite members. Applications should be directly PM'ed to me. Please be sure to include your account name in the application sent to my PM's.
Some things to know:
Currently, there are no decided requirements. Does this mean every application is automatically accepted? No, what this means is before any application is decided upon, the requirements themselves will be set, and all applications will be decided on based upon said requirements.
If you meet the requirements and are accepted, this does not mean you are guarunteed the position in the council. If you are found to answer questions inappropriately or rudely, you will be removed from the council. But fret not! Older members of the council, people currently on it, can see your answers. If you are stuck, or confused feel free to check the who list for a known council member and send them an otell. If someone finds you are crossing lines you should not in answering, they are able to take the question from you. If ever a member is to do so, it should be followed by an otell immediately to explain what you were doing wrong, and how you can fix it.

Since it was bumped, have any of the requirements been decided yet?

So my question is If you are accepted and meet the requirements and not put on the council then how have you been accepted? Or was your use of the word more like received as in "If you meet the requirements and an application to join the council is received, you are still not guaranteed a position"

What I mean is you are not promised to keep it forever if you are added, and found to be impolite, sharing IC info, sharing quest info, ignoring questions constantly, etc you can easily be removed. But you will not be removed for instantly doing one of these things. If an older member sees it, and talks to you, and you continue to do these things you will lose your place in the council. :)

We're not expecting to get people who know everything about the game. People want to give back, and this is an easy way that doesn't require you know everything about the game. There's always some questions that not everyone can answer, with a good team of people not everyone needs to know everything, but everyone needs to be able to contribute some knowledge. :)
So basically, you just need to PM me with your account name if you would like to help out. :)

As far as requirements go, right now, to see and answer questions the requirements are simply that you have always shown to be polite to immortals and newbie council members, have been playing long enough to atleast pick up a question here and there, and would work happily on our team, with the NC and the immortal staff. We're not expecting to get people who know everything about the game. People want to give back, and this is an easy way that doesn't require you know everything about the game. There's always some questions that not everyone can answer, with a good team of people not everyone needs to know everything, but everyone needs to be able to contribute some knowledge. :)
So basically, you just need to PM me with your account name if you would like to help out. :)

Hey guys,
I just wanted to get another bump in on this thread and say some things as well. I've been getting pm's about people not being added, asking when they will be added etc. As I state in my replies to you, I personally cannot add you. Please do not make me feel like I am doing some terrible injustice to you, it should be common sense for all of us that being around during times the admins are regularly active, and using ask to give a little poke to be added are things you can do to help yourself be added more quickly. Recently the admins have been incredibly busy, finding a new home for us, and settling everything into said new home. So it's been slower than we would have liked it to bet to add members to NClite. But if you have applied, you will be added. :)
