Forum Account Name
Forum Account Name
Hi! Just a quick question about forum policy, in regards to the rather emphatic message at the top of the forums stating that any given name must correspond to a character in the MUD. My current account name, Tireld, was a character some time ago that no longer exists - I've gone through my profile options, but I haven't been able to find a way to change my name or delete to start anew, so I'm just wondering if it would be preferable for me to simply keep the name I have now, or to abandon the account and start another with the name of a current character. Thanks in advance for your help, folks

You can create a new account with your new character's name if you want.
The idea is that this is not an anonymous board, and that each poster should be identifiable in game. The goal is not to be able to hunt and punish those who post negative criticisms, but rather to know who the poster is, and be able to get easily to him/her to fix a reported bug or ask for more information or even start an in-game discussion or roleplay.

Thanks for the super fast reply! Yeah, I wanted for people to be able to identify me, actually, to facilitate easier communication, but I didn't want to clutter up the forums with a second account name, if it was undesired.
As another note, when I changed my Tireld account's e-mail address, so that I could use it with my Enig account, it became inactive, so if anyone's reading this with the power to do so, it's super-okay to delete it, or just leave it inactive at your leisure. Thanks again
