Necromancers

Post by Laitaine » Thu Mar 22, 2007 12:48 pm

Quick question and a thought here (and I'm not an expert on D&D by any means). The help file for necromancy says:
Necromancy is one of the most restrictive schools of magic. It deals with Dead things or the restoration of life, limbs, or vitality to living Creatures.
but I believe that a lot of the necromancer's 'healing' type spells (like Graft Flesh and Empathic Wound Transfer) were lost when the change from 2nd to 3rd edition was made, and I can't think of any necromancy spells currently in game that deal with the second part of that description. With that in mind would it be worth revising what the helpfile says (other than removing the random capital letters ;))? Or [insert puppy-dog eyes here] maybe adding in some of those 2nd edition spells that let necromancers juggle around hit points and stick severed limbs back on?
The pen is mightier than the sword if the sword is very short, and the pen is very sharp.

I think of Cyric as the Helm of the bad-guys.

Might be better to revise the helpfile because most of the spells are now 3rd editions, but I am not totaly sure if they can or cannot be added or are in a different form as is.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Spelling is not necessarily correct :)

Miriel's player is in charge of the class help files, If you would like to propose a revision here for them, they or one of the other code council members can make its transition from here to the help files.
