I would like to apologize to the orc war party and the rescuers for timing out yesterday. I really dislike falling out of an RP like that, and I'm sorry. I was expecting a quick and brutish death and wouldn't have started the RP had I thought it might run so long that I had to depart.
I will try to thank the rescue party members ICly but I know I will not be able to find you all, so for those I will miss, my thanks. My OOC thanks also to the orcs for speeding things along as much as possible.
Going forward, I wonder aloud if we might instigate a habit of asking OOCly how long someone can stick around, if a lengthy RP is imminent? I think this is one of the situations in which an OSAY up front is less disruptive than a truncated RP down the line. I try to do this in the (up-to-now rare) situations in which I initiate an RP that can not readily be cut off at will. Or is there a better solution and I'm just not seeing it?
To the Orkin Army and the Hopeless Cause Rescue Committee
Before starting this same RP when I was asked to join... The first thing i said was "OSAY i only have an hour... is it best to stay out of it or not" and i was told it shouldn't be that long... it ran over about 20 minutes but that was because of some afk parts.
I think it to be perfectly acceptable to have an OOC establishment of time... Some times you plan on being online for only a set time... and you do a quest around that set time... and if ... extra RP happens... It should be just fine to work around that time frame...
Those be my thoughts...
And the queen b of your house was buzzing so I understand and i bow to her as well [bow]

Roana, no need to apologize!!! Thanks for joining in yesterday.
To respond to your post, a quick occ saying "I have to go" will always get you out of a RP (with me at least). We can arrange for an exit of a player in many imaginative ways (even if you're 'captured'). So please don't ever feel trapped the exit door is always available. The RP yesterday was not planned and just happened so it's impossible to guess how long it will last.
