NG druid

Post by Vindur » Fri Apr 06, 2007 9:54 pm

Since there are now NE druids around, could be possible playing a NG druid of Mielikki or Chauntea?

Yes, I think that nothing would prevent you from doing so.

Since most druids of Chauntea and Mielikkie are neutral good (true neutral being mostly Silvanus druids), could old druids of Mielikkie and Chauntea apply for an alignment change?

Just curious,
Thanks,

Only Druids of Mielikki are allowed NG. However, Chauntean clerics(not druids) are mostly NG, so I guess it works out both ways as there is no split for the Cleric/Druid class in FK.

I think the help file for 'Druid' needs be updated, if this is the case.

"Only an elf, half-elf, forest gnome, centaur, ghostwise halfling, wemic,
earth genasi or human priest of True Neutral Alignment may become a druid."

Thanks Emrys! It has now been set to read
Only an elf, half-elf, forest gnome, centaur, ghostwise halfling, wemic, earth genasi or human priest of non-lawful, non-chaotic (i.e. neutral) alignment may become a druid.
Can someone in the know confirm that this is correct?

You might want to be just a little more specific, so that there's no misconception, as I would seriously doubt the presence of NG Malarites or NE Meilikkans or Chaunteans.

Ok, I think I now have it all cleared up! To summarize what I now understand to be the case:

1) All "priests" of Malar, Chauntea, and Mielikki are actually druids
2) ONLY "priests" of Malar, Chauntea, and Mielikki can be druids, save by special application
3) Druids can be true neutral, or NG for Chauntea and Mielikki, NE for Malar

Helpfiles for the dieties in question, druids, and priests have been modified to reflect the above!

It depends. For 2 and 3ed ALL Druids had to be TN, the only ones that where allowed to deviate where druids of Mielikki and Druids of Malar. Those where the only two. Now recently in 3.5 they made it that any druid can be any alignment as long as it is a base nuetral. So I guess it depends on how far the admins want to meld into 3.5.

Actually, a bit wrong here Rhy. 3.0 rules allowed druids of any neutral alignment. 2.0 were the ones that only allowed TN. So just clarifying that the rule about druid's neutrality didnt change in 3.5, it actually changed in 3.0

Just so everyone knows, I am completely against NE druids of Malar. I mean... cmon guys, be realistic?
