Weapon Finesse
Weapon Finesse
This feat allows your character to use his dexterity to calculate the hitroll instead of using his strength as normal. (Damroll is still calculated by strength).
Use: Automatic with the weapons - Short blades, Thrusting blades, Thrown weapons, slings, Light crossbow, Light hammer, mace, and brawling.

Wow
Thats is a really cool feat idea and would help a little bit more with thiefs
Weapon finesse
That is pretty kewl.. I could see fencing tournaments coming next..hehehe.... though I have no idea how to fence...and I just got Neverwinter Nights.. Just walked out of the Core..heh.. I hate all those crashes, though... have to save every 10 minutes or so, just to be safe...
What the Mind of a man can conceive, the Will of a man can achieve.
Weapon Finesse
Actually why I posted this was because I felt that this allows characters to be more versatile, instead of everyone creating a fighter the same way as everyone else, and creating a thief to be just like a sub-standard fighter. (Yeah, I was playing a little thief at that time and found that he didn't really hit often and I recalled this feat )
I love this idea, it would help those dexterous elven fighters (other races too of course) and thieves so much. I have to ask, as the light crossbow, would that mean when it is used as a melee weapon?

I like this feat idea, but think it should be limited to thief only. I dont think fighters are really "in need" of anything skill or feat. However, this could help out thieves a lot, which would mean more of them would be around.....which would help to balance things out more. I bet there will still be a ton of fighters around even without this feat

A young male human looks at your claw, his eyes widen, "Wha-what is that on your claw?"
You look to the claw, stopping abruptly
You yell, "Git et off! Git et off!" and begin to hop up and down, shaking your hand,
voice turning to a girlish scream!

Im sorry, Tretch but I kinda gotta dispute you, I think that fighters and warrior types should be able to get it, I mean, there are swashbucklers, fencers, and even knife fighters that would use their dexterity more than their str to calculate to hit.

*stashes coins away to hide from new thieves * I like the idea, would it be possible (if added into game of course) to allow some weapons to count to? Such as a scimitar which I think would be short enough and light weight to count for the feat. I was wondering if this was possible codewise. Thank you
If coded it would be towards weapon skills I beleive, Telnor. Not just specific weapons. Like thrusting blades and one-sided blades and the like.
Oh...and to emphasize I LOVE this idea.

I know there are different kinds of fighter types Glim. I am just saying fighters dont need anything to boost their class anymore. All I see is a chance to boost one of the weaker classes (my and many other's opinion here). I understand it could add some rp aspects to fighters. I think you could do that anyways though without this feat and still have a strong character. A thief however would get completely trashed by almost any fighter no matter what idea he/she was shooting for. I am just looking for more balance. More balance means more variety in classes online, which in my opinion makes more fun rpwise.

Fencing is THE best sport. Go fence. I mean, when else do you get to legally poke people over and over again, with pointy sticks made out of metal? (In the real world, not FKpokerama)
Or join SCA, though that really doesn't count as fencing.
Seriously, Fencing woulod be nice...seen foils out there, sabres and epees would be good too. Maybe there should be a weapon subset "Fencing blades".
