Noschoreth - God of senses

Post by Liandria » Sat Dec 22, 2007 12:35 pm

I've found a reference to a dead deity named Noschoreth. I've looked through several books 2nd Ed. and 3.5 Ed and I can't find any mention of the god at all. His symbols are the five senses.

Can anyone point me to a book that mentions them or are they a completely FK addition to the Mud? I didn't see one in faiths and avatars at all, but I will take a second look.

To the best of my knowledge, that deity is a work of FK fiction and merely forms part of the background to the area. No such deity exists anywhere else in Forgotten Realms literature.

Ahh cool! Guess I can stop looking then. I'd love to see them added to the museum in Waterdeep.

Yup, Kelemvor is right.

Noschoreth is a creation for just the area. ICly, I would guess that many (evil or benign) entities were locally worshiped as deities.

OOCly, Noschoreth is just some bad latin for "I know" plus "-reth" to make it sound "cooler".

Also a reference to the long dead Titan Gods in that area.
May you find the knowledge you seek. If you find something else, it is still knowledge, and as such, still a gain.
