Trademark Question

Concerning trademarks... Is it true that trademarks are currently only available for weapon and armor smithing? If one was to GM smelting, could one apply for a trademark on metals?

(Thinking of those bars of gold with the Balinese dancer on them...)

I've explained the concept in more detail elsewhere (sorry, short on time to dig out the links)... but yes, a trademark currently only works to apply the mark to a smithed weapon or piece of armour.
