I was wondering if it could possible creating a helpfile for each of the different faith levels that exit (Initiate, Acolyte, Prelate, Inner Circle and Faith manager) with its definition (example: Faith managers are the head of the church and blah blah) and what is expected of members of such rank.
While clearly exist many differences between churches in the end Initiates and Faith Managers would do similar things regardless of the church to which belong (Specific RP aside) like learning more about the faith (Initiates) or administering the faith (Faith Managers)
I think that this would greatly benefit intrafaith RP.

Re: Faith Levels
The only problem is that what is expected various from faith to faith based on how active different members are and also varies from FM to Deity.
Re: Faith Levels
Agreed, what each Faith level is and what duties each faith level has varies per faith and usually directly pertains to who the Faith Manager is. I could tell you how *I* see the levels and what I expect each level to do for the faith, but it will not remain the same for each faith.
Re: Faith Levels
Perhaps it would make more sense for the FM of each faith to establish the chain of command (if there even is one) IC. I figure if authority within the faith is made clear to the followers by the FM, then there's not much reason to lay it all out on paper.
Each faith is different, and the players that are active within the faith change, so I figure it makes sense to just go with whatever is happening in game. Seems like things develop at a pretty steady pace, so I don't know what good it would do.

The problem with chain of command per faith is that again. It varies per faith. I personally have a very set chain of commands in one of the faiths I have a FM on but, the other faith I have a FM on I am not the first FM. In fact, I'm the third. So I am left with the chain of command by the previous faith manager while trying to organize it all again. I agree though. IC each person in each level should have a clear cut idea of what their duties are and be willing to accept the duties before being advanced. It reduces confusion and noone steps on anyone's toes.

Quite so, I think it makes it much more fun to play in a faith when you actually have some purpose set in front of you. Even if it's a bit abstract.
