Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
Time has come again! There will be games, prizes, food, drinks, songs, stories, and perhaps even a play this time . For those of you who are like me and are time link challenged, the hopeful date and time is Sunday April 27th, 12 noon Texas time. You can work out what it is in your time zone in your head or you can try this link. That time seems to work for almost everyone I've contacted so far so it should stay the same. It will be in the performance hall in Berdusk again. Tell your friends! Bring your friends!

Peverell is going to pee his pants in excitement when he finds out about this

Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
I am sad that my bard will not be able to make it, as I am in colorado that weekend
Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
Lilia Rosethorn will be there to perform!
Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
You people are all going to hurt me, but I also won't be able to attend.
I completely forgot that I would be out of town that sunday helping a friend move.
Sorry!

Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
ok so you all can hate me too, but with my computer issues I'm not sure I'll be able to make it either. And even if I could all the things I have prepared for it are on the other computer. You all are still welcome to get all the bards together and have a gathering, but most likely Ynaura will not be there, and if she is it will only be for a short while. Sorry! Still don't know when I will have a computer.
Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
I was wondering if this would still go ahead, what with all your computer problems. Plus, there haven't been any in-game announcements or info about the running order... I haven't been able to get in touch with various people involved in the play, so that won't be ready by tomorrow.
Still, nothing to stop us meeting up and talking about a festival to be held in the not-so-distant-future, right?

Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
I'll be showing up to see what happens and will gladly assist with organizing whatever those gathered want to do for that day. Any scenario is a good scenario, even if it is just brainstorming about what we can do on a later date. I'm sure Ynaura will be posting advertisements in game for a more official festival once her computer issues are squared away.

Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
I would humbly ask that in the future more explicit/less obscure locations be used for any events that desire press coverage. The few reporters that exist in the realms are young and have a hard enough time getting to places to cover events! I don't know if this was an event that hoped for press coverage, but the press could not find it.
Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
There probably would have been clearer in-game announcements had there not been some serious computer issues for the organiser As it stands, I wasn't entirely sure where the "performance hall in Berdusk" was either, but after some wandering I found it. (It's not marked on the maps up on this site). It is the Concert Hall in the south part of the town.
At the time of writing, performances have only just begun, so there is still time to attend.

Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
Thank you everyone that managed to find the place with or without help. Next time I'll sit Isaldur in Waterdeep's market until the very last moment to try and catch any stragglers.
Thanks to the following performers for sharing their poems, songs, and stories.
Pirro for his excellent song about Shadowdale
Llewis for his great tune about a maiden's charms
Kelvan for his sinking ships and duets
Ryldaen for his poetry of blossoming love
Peverell for his story of tolerance and overcoming prejudices
and Erling for his story about how you can overcome any hardship by drinking plenty of coffee!
Thanks to the Giamoco the King of Bards for showing up, and everyone else who helped make this event happen.
Final thanks goes to Ynaura who only managed to catch the very last part of the festival, it wouldn't have happened either way without your prompting it.

Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun
You've had Peverell's IC thanks, now his player's OOC thanks... Isaldur, you did a great job keeping it together and making sure it ran smoothly!
Thanks to all the performers who turned up - there was a bigger showing than I expected! It was great hearing everyone's songs, poems and stories! And thanks to the various audience members who popped in and out too
We were honoured to be in the presence of the King of the Bards. Thanks to Giacomo for being enigmatic and keeping an eye on things
Ynaura, it was great to see you, even if you did miss Pev's stage debut Really looking forward to the next one, where we can put in the riddle contests etc
I had lots of fun... So much so that I have stayed up past my bedtime even though I have a pretty important job interview tomorrow. (Haha! Who needs a career when you have FK, right? )

That was the most bards I'd ever seen on the who list at one time.
Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"
