Expeditious Retreat
Transmutation
Level: Brd 1, Sor/Wiz 1

While affected by this spell your maximum speed is increased by "1" (as if you had the run feat), this spell would stack with the feat run for extra speed!.

Nice idea. Maybe it would also reduce lag from movement?

Actually the lag between rooms is reduced the faster your selected speed, so I don't see why it would be otherwise.
