Now, to that end, please give me some suggestions for times so that this can be most effective. I am pretty flexible right now but I am leaning towards a weeknight (weekends are fairly booked this month). There can be exceptions but I would like to address those individually. This event will be role-play intensive with a little bit of combat, but players are free to drive-by or show up late, whatever their real life demands. Cheers!TO SQUIRES AND MEN-AT-ARMS: HARROGHTY, PURPLE DRAGON KNIGHT, EXTENDS
AN INVITATION TO REGULAR PRACTICE OF ARMS
I MAINTAIN THAT THERE ARE NO SMALL FEATS OF ARMS in wars local, wars
Foreign, or at tournaments and jousts, but he who does more is still
Worth more. To this end, and in acknowledgment of the truth that it
Is the highest purpose of knighthood to bear arms (there are monks
Upon Faerun for virtue alone), I propose a college of arms to be put
On weekly at the Halls of Justice. (We will muster beside that fou-
ntain there.) This is open to squires and pages for participation,
And I invite knights to observe. Each squire will be asked to bear
A mundane hand weapon of their choice.
I further request the production of wooden lances to be made for the
Instruction. I pledge to cover the cost and invite a contract for
The needs of future events. Inquire directly to me if interested in
Either the event or the contract. The date and time will be named in
Advance.

Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
I love this idea - thanks for setting it up, Drew.
Today is a company 2 day (out of 3 companies), I work on company 3 days. You can see why I have a hard time planning stuff just because my schedule isn't dependent on weekdays/weekends. I'll make whatever I can though - I've been able to get on at work quite a bit, but that usually leads to me logging off without warning when the bell rings.

Listen up! People pay good money to see this movie! When they go out to a theater they want cold sodas, hot popcorn, and no monsters in the projection booth! Do I have to come up there myself? Do you think the Gremsters can stand up to the Hulkster?
Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
Even though it won't impact me, if there's a great demand for this you could always have rotating "college" days? So, one day for one group another day for another? Love the idea though!

Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
Good thought, Lerytha. Okay:
I propose Thursdays at 2000 EST (This link indicates the coming week for simplicity)...
(http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... c=0&p1=179)
...and...
...Sunday afternoons at 1600 EST (Link below again indicates the coming week; this cites 9 November not tomorrow (at the time of this post), 2 November.
(http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... c=0&p1=179)
If you have something radically different to propose then I welcome suggestions, but this coming week we will try these days on for size.

Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
I will definitely not be able to make the Thursday one, and most Sundays I will not be able to make either. But that's ok, this event is intended for squires anyway. =D
Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
thurdays are a no go but sundays a should be able to make no sweat
Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
Okay, this week an event's come up that prevents me from hosting a Sunday meeting. The Thursday meeting still stands but I need a day between Monday, 3 November and Friday, 7 November for a make-up, second meeting. I'm taking recommendations. This event is for squire characters so I will make it as convenient as possible for squire players. Let me know, please.

Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
This week is pretty flexible for me, barring Friday (and Tuesday, when I think we have muster now?)
Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
(a letter is posted to the Realms)
In the interests of training squires that can serve the Realms with skill, who are prepared for anything, I, Miriel Tingilinde, offer my services to teach them about magic. If it is the will of the paladin superiors of this College, a demonstration of different spells and how best to cope with them can be given.
If that is wished at all, let me know. Magic is such a force in the Realms, that new paladins should be exposed to as much of it as possible.

Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
This week is just terrible for me, but I should be able to make those times starting next week.
Thanks Harr for organizing this!!

Re: A COLLEGE OF ARMS
Okay, I am calling time of death 2042 Eastern Standard on the chance of having one of these lessons today. Next week: I will keep the Thursday time and offer no other lessons. Beyond next week we can adjust on a needs basis: this is for those of you with squire characters. Tell me when and where and I can set it up.
