I would assume this goes here. In any event could your rank be added to the spellbook command so you know what level you are in it without having to wade through fifty-plus spells with the spells command. It would look like this
Code: Select all
Cure Light Wounds Component Journeyman
Harm Component Master
Cure Poison Component Inept
It would just make a better quick referance then the spells command, as it would only have spells you have actually trained. I don't know if it would be hard to do or not though.

You can also use the 'practice' command to see only the skills you have trained.

Not to make an argument out of this or anything, but... I have one or two spell-caster characters and I personally remember the components for at least 80% of the spells they can use. I am thinking I am not the only one out there with such a memory of their characters' talents. As for skill level ranking, thats what 'practice' is for. I know and understand some new spells or new characters could use something that lists it all out, but just play the character for a bit and it becomes almost second nature that cure light wounds needs a **** and invis needs some ****. Just need to get to know your character...

You do not need to change the world, merely leave it a little better than how you found it.

For the past two and a bit years I've just used the "spells" command. Even if you did add the ranking next to the components, you'd still have to wade through line and lines of spells to find the ranking. Actually it'd be more lines, as "spells" lists it as two spells per line.

Hmm. Rhelian has a point. I guess having the ranking next to the components would only be a good thing when you only have ten to fifteen spells learned. I suppose for master wizards/clerics it would be a nightmare.
Ah well, it was but a thought. =)

About the only benefit there would be to putting your training level on the spellbook screen is that spells are listed in alphabetical order on there, while they're listed by level on spells. Alphabetical is far easier to find unless its a spell you look at often and know EXACTLY where it falls on your list.
