Has anyone been having trouble with colors and Linux?

Hello,
Has anyone been using linux and having some trouble with colors from the mud? If so, I would like to know how you solved the issue. In my case, I use a Gnome terminal but the dark colors from the game are meshing in with the black background I use, causing them to be invisible. (mobs, equipment, anything with a dark gray color) Using a lighter background doesnt really help in my case.

Is downloading a better mudclient an option? Zmud isn't released for linux, but Tintin is popular and there's always the barebones GnomeMud. I use tinyfugue which is a bit of a headache at times but you can change everything you want around.

Also, when you first set up your FK account you could pick from two color schemed... "warm" and "cool" i think they are called. The setting my roommate has is hard to see and I prefer the other one. You can switch it when you first log on..menu option 5.

You can also manually set colors coming from FK using the 'color' command. I would use the command 'color' to see what you have set to that dark grey and change all those fields to something brighter. 'help color' for more on that in game.
