Knights's Gathering

Post by Harroghty » Wed Apr 29, 2009 3:56 am

This is very vague by design:

I would like to have a gathering of goodly knights sometime during the second or third week of May (after 6 May). The purpose will be fostering chivalry and comradery between knights (often knights are charged to "uphold the honor of knights and chivalry" and some socializing will facilitate this).

I am not fixed on a location for this event. I am about to be out of the loop for about four days. Please just post suggested times or refinements here and I will act on what's here when I am able. Thanks very much. Cheers.

Just to clarify if this is strictly "knights" only, because then technically it really would not be IC for Briek to be able to come.

Correct. This event is intended for good-aligned knights only (that is paladins and those other knights with special role-play). I am about to walk out the door for the next few days so, again, I will follow up with this upon my return.

I would prefer the week of 10 May (10-16 May) for this event. Is there a work-day that would be suitable for this event? I am flexible 24 hours a day for that week. Again, I would prefer somewhere 11 (Monday) to 15 (Friday) of that week.

There is no apparent interest for this event. I will not be hosting this event any time soon on that account.

I was interested but didn't post as I was waiting for a posted time and date which I did and do not want to influence on for my schedule is growing more and more unsteady the more summer approaches :)

If this event did go ahead wouldn't the attendence still be considered low?, I mean counting special roleplay knights you are still looking at seven characters max and thats only if everyone can make it.

Sorry Drew, I was in the same boat as V. I'd be there if I could make it.

I would be willing to host this some time during the week if there was a time agreeable to both US and British/Continental players. For US players: is there a day where you are available during the work week (early enough to also invite the Euros)?

That works for me, though I'd only be available for 2 hours.

If people are prompt then it shouldn't be a big deal. I see this as being very informal really.

I should be able to make it (though I'll probably have to duck out early as well).

Sorry, I'm not likely able to make any work-hours event, work is still incredibly busy for me. I'm working overtime, so even a different time is unlikely to fit for me. Whatever time is chosen will be about the same for me, I will see what I can do.

No reason to be sorry, my friend. Real life has a way of doing that. I am sorry that the time is not more agreeable for you.

This event will be held in the citadel at Eagle Peak, at the Eagle's Rest Inn at this time and date (same as published above).

This event will be very informal. Those participating are welcome to prepare songs, stories, or any other sort of appropriate entertainment before hand; they are also welcome to bring food or drink, but this will also be provided and available locally.
