well, myself another player have said that it might be good idea to have a place to dispose of unwanted letters and mail boxes, sort of like shreading personal information. Perhaps there could be a mob at the magical post we can hand them to because some players might not want to just dump old letters on the floor for anyone to pick up before the next copyover

Why not make a fire and burn the old letters? It'd be more setting appropriate, imo

Letters can already be used as parchment. You can clear a letter and write something new on it and post it to the note board if you wanted to.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.
