Basically, I am creating a "Library of Theology" in the Font, where you can look around the library for every single God. Now, what I'm doing is working from this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Fo ... an_deities
All the human deities will have their own section (i.e, you type "Cyric" and you get a description of what that section of the library is like, and a description of the sort of books that are ICly there - then people can RP studying in that particular section, during any roleplays or whatever).
I want to open it up to make it even more participatory. If you have a character in any faith in-game, and you'd like to have your name written in that section as a "contributor" to the Library of Theology, just post your character's name and the God they've gathered books for, afterwards.
What does this do? Well, it adds an IC depth to this room. If you want to RP giving books to an Oghman in-game, please do. It'd be nice for people in the future (thanks for this suggestion, Peverell, which I've adapted only slightly) to look at a section of this library and think, "Wow, the great hero Sophie helped gather the books for this library, that must have been years ago!".
Don't feel you need to limit this to your well-known characters or faith leaders. If I get multiple names for the same faith, I'll put all the names in and make sure IC it is a much bigger section because the faithful got their act together and decided to hijack the Oghman desire to have every faith represented.
And yes, Cyricists, Maskarrans and Bane-followers are welcome to put their names here. The Oghmans are putting their own books in those sections as well (just so people don't believe your lies, you understand), but ICly there'll be some evil books too.
Hope y'all like the idea!
Ollie
IC:
Friends, enemies, people who like books,
The Oghmans extending the Font of Knowledge in Waterdeep would love to hear from you. We want to hear from any member of any faith in all of Faerun. Send us your theological texts, or donations for us to buy these theological texts, and we will grant you some honour by naming you in your faith's section in our library. We will not pay, but we hope that by this action, inviting all faiths (human, goblin, orc, elven, dwarven, Mulhorandi, every faith!) to participate, we can create a wonderful library for all to learn in.
Binder Inspire,
Lerytha Holt
