Hello, my fellow residents of Forgotten Kingdoms!
It is time for that loveably crazy wizard, Daerin, AKA Wonko the Sane, to begin to concoct some potions!
I have the desire to learn to brew, and would like to solicit the services of any who are able to teach. I will gladly pay for the opportunity to learn, simply seek me and ask your price! I am on generally in the evenings, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, PST. Please let me know if you can help me learn!
Don't Die,
Wonko the Sane
Wanting to learn to Brew!
Re: Wanting to learn to Brew!
Please do this IC on the IC note board with a OOC note of the times you are available.
Beshaba potatoes.
Re: Wanting to learn to Brew!
Ahh, thought this might show up... When you say IC, is there a board here in the forum? Or should I be posting on the note boards in-game? I was a tad confused on this point, so apologies if I broke any rules. The layout of the forums and site confuses me a tad... Sorry again!

Hey Ami,
She is likely referring to the Events forum. There is a "How To" post there also from the game's area administrator (Dalvyn) that explains how to write posts there, but there are also a number of current examples that you could model your post after. You might also post this kind of thing in game if you'd like, but the advantage of posting it on the forums is that you can put a link to a set time on http://www.timeanddate.com so that people from a myriad of time zones will know exactly when your event will be. You can write the whole post in the "Events" forum in an in-character manner, but please just put the real-world time and date in an out-of-character note. Thanks very much!

Re: Wanting to learn to Brew!
Harroghty's not wrong, but for something like this I think the events forum is overkill - because you only need to arrange things with one person, that specific individual who proves ICly willing to teach you the skill.
For something like this, I would suggest:
1) Place an (IC) request on the in-game realms-wide notice board (the one with a post in most major cities). You can basically use what you used here:
2) Once you have an IC teacher, arrange a time with them via PM, IM, email, or in-game OOC (OSAY/OTELL) discussion.
That'd be my suggestion, since the whole playerbase doesn't need to know these details (unless you are hoping for one or more third parties to drop in on the event).

The only significant change is bracketing off the OOC information, which I'd include only if you want to be sure that whoever offers to teach you ICly will be able to coordinate with you OOCly.I have the desire to learn to brew, and would like to solicit the services of any who are able to teach.
