Well, I am very biased towards the USA... that's who I am rooting for.

As a sports fan, though, Slovenia is playing very well so far. I think England's got itself a tough matchup and I feel the odds are in favor of Slovenia winning or a tie. If either of those happen, England is out. As for America, they've gotten better and I think they're inspired more after the ref blew the call, forcing a tie against Slovenia. But, USA has been prone to poor play, especially, in the first half, so they ahd better grit it out if they want to advance.

Like most of the US, this sport usually does not exist in my universe... for different reasons than most though. However, this year has actually gotten my attention since everywhere I look I see a certain goalie fubar video and more recently rants about a ref's bad call on a different goal. I still don't care who wins, but its nice to see the US make enough ripples to be noticed this year.

Germany had better get through, they're my only decent team in my work's sweepstake (alongside Denmark and Algeria).

I don't have a preference for who I'd like to win this one, I just want to see great football. Which probably means Portugal. Or the mighty New Zealand.

I'm obviously pulling for USA. But if we don't advance today, I'm rooting for Michael Bradley to get in a fist fight with a referee. Like, a big one. Mortal Kombat style.

Well, how about that?

America had to wait until 1 minute into extra to finally score...

USA and England both advance!
