I have decided to return to FK after a very long hiatus, BUT

I cannot remember my account password. And for that matter I don't even know if I am entering in the correct account name, it could just be that someone else is using my first name as their account name. (I had guessed a few times before trying my name.)

Also, I downloaded Zmud from the homepage of this website and I thought I correctly followed the instructions on how to connect, but when I clicked "save" nothing happened, and when I clicked "connect" the window closed and left me looking at just the Zmud background.

Anyway, help would be appreciated! Sorry if I posted in the wrong place.

Your best bet will be to send an email to complaints telling them what you think your account name is, and what some of the character names are that might be on that account.

Secondly, for your Zmud problem. Make sure that you are connecting to host: forgottenkingdoms.org port: 4000

Moloch is on the mark. When I came back, couldn't find my password to save my life. Email some of your characters' names and what is likely to be your account name and they'll reset your password and email you a temp password. Be sure to subject the email clearly with something like "Lost Password".

Since complaints email is down for the count, is the correct method now to create a forums account and send in complaint via forum?

The only problem I see with creating a forum account to post to complaints is that in order to create one you have to activate said account in game which is impossible if you can't log into the game.

If it's a new account, that's one thing, but if you're an older player, and I'm not saying everyone will, but more than likely, you've got a forum account already. That shouldn't be a problem, but I do see what you mean.

Is there anything besides a list of his characters and his account name he should provide? He already left, but I can still relay the message.

Account name and characters should be adequate. Any other info he can provide to confirm he's the account owner is helpful, but I can't think of what that might be.
