This is the skill used for making stone tools.
For the game, however, I envision flint arrowheads, obsidian arrowheads, flint knives, obsidiean axe-heads...
PC would need a piece of flint or obsidian and a perfectly smooth stone and then they would KNAPP [type] to get what they want.
i.e.
Flower the elf wants to make her own arrowheads. She finds some obsidian and with her trusty smooth stone she will KNAPP ARROWHEAD and hopefully produce a useable arrowhead for fletching.
After that, she decides she wants to make a flint knife... so she finds a piece of flint, KNAPP KNIFE and voila! She now has a flint knife.

Great idea, possibly even create a new trade where you can dare to venture into volcano's to mine obsidian. Your probably thinking that people would greatly abuse this as obsidian is quite expensive. But there could be many dangers. If you even COULD find a volcano to mine.
Different dangers could be a angered dragon disturbed that you are intruding on his home. Lava flows anything and everything that could be in a volcano. Therefore people wuld have to work hard at mining the obsidian...and maybe even get some treasures from the dragon hoard

Umm, Drak.... Folks with the mining trade can already mine obsidian, like my dwarf character. Course its a bit up there on the skill level. And umm, to amass a large amount of any gem/metal is hard, even for GM'ed miners. Takes a while to mine also, considering the stamina it takes and the coded-lag. Not to mention the time to get that high in the trade. Just a thought. Keep on suggesting stuff.

You do not need to change the world, merely leave it a little better than how you found it.
