Perhaps a new skill for warriors; when using an appropriate two-handed weapon a warrior who has the "stab" or similarly named skill "spears" his opponent
with his weapon. This skill would use an appropriate two-handed weapon such as a bastard sword or greatsword or even some warhammers. Swords would "pierce" said opponent rather than deal "slashing" damage.

Re: Warriors: Stab skill
I think we're generally trying to move closer to D&D standards rather than the DikuMUD code base that a lot of this stuff like punch, kick, stun comes from. Is there a D&D 3.0 or 3.5 analogue to a skill like what you describe? If you can find something akin to stabbing or spearing for warriors, that would definitely be something to discuss I think!
Re: Warriors: Stab skill
I would rather see piercing attacks added to the mix for longwords and bastard (war) swords as a part of their regular routine. They are cut and thrust weapons. Every one stopped only slashing with the advent of mail (and warswords were designed to punch through plate armor with a thrust).

Re: Warriors: Stab skill
I agree with Harroghty. I'd like to see it as a manual skill but being automatic would be more "realistic". Though I like the idea of being able to customize or control
how you're attacking in a way. But by that same logic you should also type "slash" along with "stab". And I couldn't seem to find any 3.0 or 3.5 skills to reflect that particular command

There are some tactical feats you might want to look into that allow additional options or grant additional bonuses when you wield two specific weapon types.
