This may sound silly but I've been looking at the feats that some trainers offer, particularly in starting areas, such as Tangled Trees and Waterderp and I've noticed something...
The feats available in this area aren't the feats a starting character would be able to take due to the lack of the availability of the prereq.
Let's take Tangled Trees for an example, I know that I've seen a lot of archery feats there, rapid shot, far shot, precise shot (I don't remember which specifically are available but I think all of those are)
But I can't take them because point-blank shot isn't anywhere there. (nor have I found it yet)
The same can be said about power attack.
Now I know this encourages characters to explore but it might make more sense to have the prerequisite feats be more easily available. Power attack and point blank shot were the feats that I was considering for my characters and I've found one and it isn't easy to get.
Mounted Combat is a little easier to obtain but that's just one.
So what I'm suggesting is maybe we could make some of the feats that are prerequisites to other feats a little easier to find and make their prerequisites a bit more scarce.

I've noticed this problem in the fighter guilds as well. Most of them train cleave - but not power attack.
